The Celebrating of March 8th in Arad Prison
No Mother's Day this year did go unnoticed, so a group of volunteers of the organization "Rescue" has developed a program held during two meetings in Arad Penitentiary.
A new Project In Gherla Penitenciary
This project comes after the express request of the 13 women deprived of liberty, from Gherla Penitentiary, who participated in the project, "Forgiven and released", and who wishes to continue this change process, recognizing in it, a necessity for their life detention, and also in the post-detention period.
"Afterschool" assistance
A social assistance program, which will run throughout the school year 2016-2017, brings us much joy. Over 15 children from seven families in town Sânnicoară, Cluj county, will be helped by the involvement of ladies Stephanie Iancovici and Roxana Cocal.
The project "FORGIVEN AND FREE"
Since July of 2016, the Rescue Foundation carried out a new project in Gherla Penitentiary Cluj outer section entitled "FORGIVEN AND FREE" with a group of 14 women detainees. The program has the form of a study group having as basis a course from the book "GO IN PEACE written by the author Cherie Fresonke, containing 14 parts that will be studied in 16 weeks.
"Youth with a Mission" project
We have the joy that during Octomber 2015-April 2016, together with youth from the organization "Youth with a mission" to develop a project for the needs faced by the inmates from Penitenciary Targu Mures.
Project the "A woman after God's own heart"
Since February of 2016, a new project made by Rescue Foundation in Gherla Prison External Section Cluj "A woman after God's own heart with a group of 13 women detainees.
Rescue volunteers in Vaslui prison
Also in 2016, still with older volunteers, we are pleased to continue our work in prisons that are far away from us, this time Maximum Security Penitentiary, Vaslui.
Cluj-Napoca, Mănăştur Baptist Church, youth group
Last year one of the groups that supported and had a great input in our work, was also the youth group of Mănăştur Baptist Church, Cluj Napoca. We were glad to find out that this year, although with less frequency, our cooperation will continue and inmates in Aiud Maximum Security Penitentiary will be helped further on.

It is a joy whenever people choose to engage civil society in helping inmates.
Kindergarten furniture from prison
A different and interesting project for us was conducted for over 2 months. At the end of 2015, our collaborators in Denmark sent to Romania several pieces of old kindergarten furniture but still in good shape.
Involvement for comfort
Through the active involvement of volunteers in Zalau, Jibou and Cluj was made possible to purchase a refrigerator and a washing machine, in order to donate them to an unprivileged family formed of three minor orphans that lost their father, and their mother closed in Cluj Penitentiary, being looked after by their grandparents in town Petelea, Mures County.
Assistance program for people addicted to alcohol
The program aims to achieve and maintain abstinence from alcohol addicts, providing material assistance consisting of clothing, shoes sanitary hygiene products, bedding and furniture pieces, offering a hot meal once a week.
