Christmas presents
December, as known by most people, is a month of gifts, not just for those gathered around a Christmas decoration, surrounded by family, but also for the inmates in various prisons in the country.
December, as known by most people, is a month of gifts, not just for those gathered around a Christmas decoration, surrounded by family, but also for the inmates in various prisons in the country.
We wanted to be able to give a symbolic gift to thosewho no one visits, sour people who are forgotten even by their families. In this regard:
On December 17th , a group of believers in Barlad Baptist Church, and from Brethren Barlad Church, volunteers of Rescue Foundation, visited Vaslui Penitentiary. Songs became carols and spoken words have become food for those who have heard this challenge: "Be wise this Christmas." The 70 prisoners received packet and had the chance to enjoy during these holidays.
On December 19th , another group of volunteers from different denominations, have conducted a program of carols and testimonies in Maximum Security Penitentiary Gherla, Cluj outer section. Ladies, Amalia Decean, Ciubancan Lenuţa and Mr. Armand Loy interpreted this holiday carols. The atmosphere was filledby the message of encouragement and challenge brought by Mr Cristian Pantea and Cosmin Giurgiu. They could not miss the presents, so the 150 imprisoned women have received gifts on this occasion.
On December 20th , a new group of volunteers, this time from Zorilor Baptist Church,Cuj, had a mini concert of carols. Accompanied by M. Cosmin Giurgiu and Cristian Pantea, they sought to rehabilitate the essence of this celebration. Although the program was conducted outdoors and took 2 hours, the 32 inmates from the Prison Targu Mures, could celebrate this holiday. Attendees received gifts and others that although they could not attend but who are not visited by their families, have received them.
On December 21st , another group of volunteers from Pentecostal No 1, Bistrita, accompanied by Mr. Lucian Sut, rehabilitated prisoner whose testimony was very impressive, served in Aiud Maximum Security Penitentiary. The first two meetings were held in high club, which was attended by 100 prisoners, and the third meeting was held in the corridors of each floor, place where carols resonated strongly. And gifts were offered to inmates who are unvisited, so the 300 gifts brought some joy for this holiday.
On December 22nd , a group of volunteers from Bethel Pentecostal Church, Arad, alongside Mr Cosmin Giurgiu and Cristian Pantea, visited Arad Maximum Security Penitentiary. The 300 packages were offered to prisoners who participated in the program and also to those who did not participate but are not visited by their families.
We are grateful to all our volunteers, who this time also, were at the service of their fellow men, and have completed the joy of these celebrations.
