Tuesday April 2nd Rescue Humanitarian Foundation with School Titulescu Cluj-Napoca and Aiud Prison conducted a visit to prevent crime and juvenile delinquency for a total of 38 students from eighth grade. Visit is part of an extensive program of crime and juvenile delinquency prevention in school and includes thematic discussions, film screenings, witnesses and prison visits.
This visit included a presentation of Aiud Prison, detention system in Romania, deprivation of liberty, crime, types of offenses to which students are likely to make. A tour of the prison followed where the students were able to see a detention room, school, church, club and memorial room.
After visiting students met six inmates who have shared moments of their lives in prison, but also how they came to commit crime. It was an open discussion between students and the peoplewhere were highlighting the role of the friends and the entourage in comitting a crimes by teenagers, the temptation of drugs and alcohol, the desire to have immediate gains etc.
