The 8th of March is known as International Women's Day. In this day Rescue Foundation with a group of volunteers from Ocna Mures and Cluj Napoca, had a special program for the detainees in Prison Gherla, external section Cluj. For several hours women were offered the opportunity to cut their hair, to do their nails and fresh up with a facial massage, and even professional makeup.
Our joy grew as we saw the gratitude and delight on the detainees’s face at the end. Needless to say that the relations with the detainees were tighten, providing new ways of communicating for the volunteers who go weekly with the „Life spring” project. Many of the detainees who were participants, thanked the volunteers, saying that they forgot how much time it passed since they haven’t even had a haircut, let alone a manicure done by a professional.
Finally every woman- detainee or volunteer from the Foundation received a gift in honor of womanhood and especially for praising God who has made each of us the beauty of his glory.
